TNS Listener won't run

I am running Oracle 8 on NT. Everything has been running fine until today, when the TNSListener service will not run. If I start it manually in the services window, it starts up, and I can see it running in the NT Task Manager processes window. But after a few seconds, it stops running.

I have tried uninstalling Net8 Server and reinstalling, but without success. Any help appreciated
