Raw device with Linux.

I have installed Oracle 8.0.5 Server on Linux 2.0.36 and i would create an
database with raw device. I don't see specials raw files type for my IDE
hard disk in /dev/ directory. Does anyone have create some raw device with
other special file ?. Any comment/suggestion is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
