Oracle 8 and sqlnet v1 compatibility

Dear dba's,



we have just finished installing Oracle 8 on Unixware. We are
preparing the transiction from an oracle 7 with sqlnet v1 and v2
toward this oracle 8. Sqlnet V1 was necessary because of an old
application running on an Oracle 6 for DOS that cannot be converted. 



Is there compatibility between Oracle 8 as a server and its network
drivers vs. clients using sqlnet version 1 ?
