yup, thanks to backward compatibility of the oracle 8 database you could use an SQL*NET 2.x to access the database.. so although I do not know of a 16 bit version of the NET8 product you could use a 16 bit 2.x SQL*NET to access the Oracle 8 database. Should work as a jiffy..
