This absolutely goes against every reason to use a professional database like Oracle rather than the other play toys in existence. One reason NOT to do what you have suggested is that many of the object owners may use very similar naming styles for their objects. Combining or initiating a single user owner would provide nothing but grief when trying to update only a certain group of tables. You might also want to look into the Oracle documentation for other benefits of Oracle including SECURITY. Someone else wrote in about this subject and their idea of a full database export is indeed the way to go.
