Optimal rbs storage parameters for 50-100 user database

I'm trying to boot performance on a large oracle database with about 50-100
users. I know how to test for rollback contention with a script, but do not
have time to run this on _all_ of the servers. Currently, each rollback seg
is 128k, with a next of 128k.

My plan is to increase the number of rollback segments from 4 to 9 total, and
increase the next extent size to 256k. The RBS tablespace is about 200MB.
Will this help out at all?

Thanks, Chris Received on Thu Dec 17 1998 - 18:36:40 CST
