I will grant you this. However there are other reasons to go to NT. One being NT trained system administrators at a site. Another being the reusability of the NT box used now as an Oracle RDBMS server, used later as another type of server.

I guess I am not following the Linux discussions closely enough. Does Oracle for Linux run on SMP boxes?

NT is everywhere and it is not going away soon. I see a surprising number of postings to this newsgroup where the platform is NT.

The developer license CDs Oracle sends its Technet subscribers are, coincidently, for NT. Received on Sun Dec 06 1998 - 10:34:40 CST
