Personal Oracle 8 : runtime only?

I did a search on Oracle for Personal Oracle and i think there were only

documents related to the version 7, but i've seen messages mentioning ver8...

I've been questioning myself whether Oracle Lite was what we need,
given that i now find that stored procs and triggers must be written in java
not pl/sql
(I have updated erwin macros to produce what i believe is pl/sql for stored procs
i doubt  i can do the same thing for java!!)

I understand personal oracle is much more like the server oracle...

So does it come as a runtime only, ?
and what is the cost of distributing the runtime ?
and how HEAVY is it? (i mean memory and disk resources of course....)

how fast is it relative to Oracle Lite ?

thanks if someone can answer... Received on Sun Nov 22 1998 - 22:21:53 CST
