Calling other databases

We are running SQL Server 6.5 and Oracle 7.3. I need to create a trigger on
a table in the SQL Server database which will retrive data from a table in
the Oracle database and update another table in the Oracle database.
I'm looking for ideas on the how to do this and what the configuration
issues are.
