hallo

i have problem.

i have a client and a server (both ora 7.3.4 with sqlnet v2.3 under nt4) the client and server are located in different networks. the network are connected via a firewall. in the firewall the client-ip (with port 1521-1529) is transparent. but after a connection with the listener the port adress is changed on serverside to new port. then the client tries to communicate with the serverprocess over the ip-adress with the new port. thi doesn't function because the new port is not transparent.

does anybody know a way to say the server: take this port range (for example 1700 to 1900) ,
or is there anothere was (except making all portadresses transparent on the firewall) to solve this problem??

thank you for help
