Hi

As part of a benchmarking/prototyping exercise I need to load about 2GB of data into an 8.0.5 database on Solaris 2.6. This corresponds to approximately 150,000 rows each representing about 100 timestamped measurements of 20-odd parameters for elements in a telecoms network. The target table uses VARRAYs to store the 100 measurements for each parameter.

I was planning to use the SQL Loader but it seems that it does not support loading arrays or indeed any of the new data types in the Oracle 8 Object Option.

What options do I have?

I have complete control (within reason) over the input file format, I dont care how elegant/inelegant it is (as this is not part of the study), I just need it done in days rather than weeks.

All creative responses gratefully received! Received on Tue Nov 10 1998 - 10:55:55 CST
