ows 3.01.01 and reports server

hi,
we have upgraded from ows 3.00.00 to 3.01.01 and now we dont get the reports server working (vs.2.5). if we request for a report, it says that it isnt possible to communicate with the reports server. the reports server is up, we have tested it with the showenv and so. it worked fine before and to us we see no difference between the environment parameters as they were before. any suggestions ?
