Testing Backup

Hello All!

We are implementing new backup strategy for our database. Unfortunately our test computer died recently, and we cannot test restoration procedure. I wonder, if it possible to restore from the backup on the same machine under different db_name/sid without affecting original database. Thanks in advance.
