Solaris x86 Oracle 8 Installation Problem with root.sh

after installing oracle 8 files to the HardDisk then running root.sh
has anybody came across a problem with root.sh where after it says
""Checking For Oracle user id.."".


then it comes up with


 ''Please raise the oracles owner's ulimit as per the IUG''
does anybody know what this means or refers to ?
