what language are you using?
In pro*c for example, it would look like:
{
EXEC SQL UPDATE FOO SET x = x+1;
printf( "rows affected = %d\n", sqlca.sqlerrd[2] );
EXEC SQL COMMIT WORK;
}
so the sqlca has it.
