   This means you are out of swapspace or you need to increase maxdsiz.    You are using more than the default? 64 Mb.

Oracle came back and recommended we increase both maxdsiz and maxdsiz_64bit, so we bumped them both up to the max and that made the problem go away. We don't have time right now to go through the exercise of testing the minimal working value for them, but after our testing is done we'll go back and do that. Thanks for your response.
