Hi,

I have tried installing 8.0.3 and 7.3.3 on the same machine. There seems to be no problem & oracle support do say it is possible. As u can see the installation was designed to work oracle 8 and 7 together, since
the directory names include the XX (73 / 80) version number. However I still have one problem, maybe it was solved on 8.0.4, that connections from
7.3.3 clients do not terminate successfully using oracle 8 listener which is the listener for both versions.
This causes the connection port 1521 to get stuck after stopping the listener. The only way to restart the listener after that is to reboot the system.
