Check the Alert.log. Often you will receive a ORA-7445 error when a ORA-3113 is encountered. If this does not produce any results, check the ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/trace... any trace files, or any errors in the SQLNET.LOG by chance? Did the export generate a dump file? If so, is it near 2Gb in size?

If none of these produce any possible causes, you will probably need to set up SQL*Net tracing to find out where it is failing.
