Hi,

Please help me if you can, guys,
because I'm desperate... :)

I'm running Personal Oracle7 on a Win95 system, and I've added a new database alias with my SQL Net Easy Configuration utility.

This database alias points to my IP address, using TCP/IP Protocol on port 1521.

Then I've opened SQL Plus and I've connected to this database alias. At this point everything is OK. But if I try to open a new SQL Plus and to connect to the same database alias (which I mentioned that points to my local database through TCP/IP), I get this annoying error :
ORA-12500: TNS:listener failed to start a dedicated server process

Thanks in advance for any tips and tricks!

Dori
