Registry tuning Windows NT

This is not the proper way to do it. I attended a siminar given by Oracle on that subject.
The first thing said was "There isn't much we can do but ... ".

The setting you're talking about is accessed through the control panel. Go to
Network -> Services, choose the server service and click on the properties button.
You'll see a radio button that makes NT work as an application server or a file
server. You need to reboot.

For any other NT tuning tips : disable all unnecessary services and remove all
unnecessary network protocols. That's it.
