Oracle 8 evaluation cd FREE!

Hi

After four attempts at getting an Oracle 8 evaluation cd to install and do something right in terms of a jdbc/odbc evaluation effort I'm giving up.

If anybody wants this disk I'll pay the postage to mail it to you.

Questions:

1. Over half a gig just to unzip the cd? Are they serious?
2. Just what does NET8 do? I never got it to run, every attempt resulted in a runaway java process, 100% cpu for as long as you felt like waiting.
3. Do we have to have umpteen different names for everything? Could they PLEASE call a database a database at some point!
4. In terms of footprint, in my opinion, we're talking a rock the size of Texas.
