If you are using cost based optimizer - it is very likely that it will realize that it can retrieve the entire table info with one or two I/O's and then intentionally ignore the indexes. If you are not utilizing the CBO then I would decide if the indexes are required(constraints - primary key) or add hints to your joins in order to perform your own optimization.
