Q: how to reorganize fragmented shared pool

Hi,

since a certain time I encountered ORA-4031 messages due to non existing memory gaps of required size. In total there is much more size than really needed. But after several days of run-time the shared pool of the database seemed more and more fragmented and flushing the shared_pool doesn't help. A very primitive solution is to increase the shared pool so that a bottle neck due to fragmentation becames very unlikely. This may cost a lot of memory resources.

Let me ask you, do you know

a) tools for reorgnizing the shared pool
b) tools to tune shared pool
c) what are your experiences with shared_pool_reserved_size
d) does v$shared_pool_reserved really shows only values for the reserved
	shared pool area
e) do you know a good set of views to see which users do what in
shared pool and require what ever size

Please mail any hint to
	hfalkn_at_x4u.desy.de

regards and thank you in advance for any help
