Hello,

I have a question concerning refreshing snapshots.

Is it possible to have two different scheduled refreshes for one and the same snapshot?

The master table (with a snapshot log) will be updated during day-time regularly, and those updates have to be propagated to the snapshot in short intervals (say 10 minutes). For performance reasons this would have to be a fast refresh. So that would be automatic refresh job number 1, scheduled to do a fast refresh every 10 minutes.

However, for security reasons, periodically we want to do a complete refresh (say once a day at night-time). So that would be automatic refresh job number 2, scheduled to do a complete refresh once a day.

How would I go about to implement this? Can I schedule those two jobs as described above? Could I include a complete refresh in automatic (fast) refresh job number 1? Would I need to do the complete refresh manually? Any other options?

Please (also) reply to me privately at Marion.Kippers_at_wkap.nl since I don't get to read this newsgroup often. Thanks!

Best wishes,

Marion Kippers
