He meant the last one, nothing to do with terminals. They released some "terminal release" announcements having to do with VMS, so he is looking for something similar for Solaris. The announcements have to do with support, really.
I have the impression he won't yet find a definitive press release from Oracle, since they are still occassionally dribbling out patches. Lots of customers invariably scream when they hear such a desupport announcement.

3) Oraclemetals support for the terminal release of Developer/2000 1.x on all Oracle platforms will be available through the supported life of Oracle 7.3. At this time, Developer/2000 1.6 is expected to be the terminal release of Developer/2000 1.x supporting the terminal release of Oracle 7.3.x The end of Oraclemetals support for Oracle 7.3 will occur no earlier than December 31, 1999, and Oracle will provide 24 months advanced notification prior to the end of Oraclemetals support.
