Dear members of the NG,

I have a sudden problem installing Oracle8 on SPARC solaris 2.6. I db_block_buffers is more than 100000 the database would not start. In the "svrmgrl" the command 'startup' would just hang for infinite time without error message.

What could be the reason for this behavior?

Thank you very much!

Michael.
