The most compeling reason to upgrade has got to be the support for you
production system. Under 7.2 you will only receive extended care (no P1's,
no bugs can be raised, no escalations, no guarantee of response time.....).
7.3.4 seem pretty reliable if you do not have any certiication issues (e.g.
sqlnet v2 is required).
