Level 0 Backup of Oracle Database

Hello All:

           I am asked to find out information about Level 0 Backing up
          of our Oracle Database we are using, I can either
          write a Script or type commands online.

         Since I am new at this, I want to know where can I find information
         about this?. What is Leve-l0 Backup?. What are the other levels?
         Is backing up Database better offline or online?.
         Can I find some examples online?

        What about Partial and Full backups?  Where can I find
        some examples for the same?.
