Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> Urgent Help Need: CReate Large Table
OK, what's the secret? We're trying to create an 80gb table on a DEC Alpha
running Unix 4.0b with Oracle Enterprise 8.0.3. (This is supposed to be a
"proof of concept" demo for a client, but thus far all that we've proved is
that we're inept.) The initial database create fails with ORA-1501,
then 1519 (error in SQL.BSQ near line 206), then 0604 (recursive SQL error
level 1), and then 1144 (something about the file size exceeding 4,352K). I
know that this version of Oracle is supposed to support large databases.
So, how do you make it work? We're running out of time for this demo.
I tried to post this question to the tech support forum on Oracle MetaLink and all that I got was an Oracle error! Maybe the SQLServer gods are trying to tell me they're angry with my disloyalty.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
Rog
