We provide 293 files a night, and the file names have the date imbedded in them.

A typical stream of 80 files is processed in eight waves of 10 processes running in parallel performing SQL*Loader direct path loads.

Pipes would be an elegant solution, but we are rather tight on development timescales, and the failure recovery procedures will be a bit on the nasty side

Does Oracle (or can it) supply ".o" files for SQL*Loader for user linking? Received on Tue May 12 1998 - 00:00:00 CDT
