Hi All.

Here's the situation:

I am looking for a high performance, stable solution to publish data from a ORACLE DB V7.3 to the web. The queries are propably not too complex but the solution MUST accept 300 users cnnecting to the server simultanously. The database runs on a HP 9000 and I did not decide for a plattform for the webserver. I thought of two solutions and would like to get a statement from the experienced ones ;).

1.) most cost efficient seems the NT IIS Solution with ASP and a connection to the DB. I don't trust the ODBC interface and as far as I know there are native drivers out there.

2.) I've tested the ORACLE Web Application Server 3.0 on NT. It seemed to me the best solution although I didn't test it under REAL conditions (300 users). Also I've read some nasty things about stability of this product recently and I am not so convinced anymore.

Can somebody help me decide and give me some statements in terms of performance (300 users) and stability under heavy load?

Thanx in advance.
