Can't execute any ProC programs on Sun/Oracle 7.3.3

I just installed ProC on a Solaris 2.5 system. I can compile and link the demo programs, but all of them die with a segmentation error - it occurs on the first call to any EXEC command. LD_LIBRARY_PATH has the path to the oracle libs. I re-installed ProC, no help.
There is no server on this machine, SQLplus works fine connecting to an NT server via the TWO_TASK var.

Anything to look for on a Sun - I have no problem doing this on HPUX. Thanks
