Yes. My experience is somewhat different. In normal DBA type operations, I can't find a difference between the speed of ORACLE in NT and the speed in comparable UNIX systems. However, I still have to see a client-server commercial application that runs faster with the database in NT than with the database in UNIX. Most of them run considerably slower. And two in particular (names withheld) are absolutely lowsy and unpredictable when the database sits in NT. I'm told that this is with any database on NT, it's not a problem restricted to ORACLE.

So go figure...
