Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> Problem starting OWS 3.0
Hi All.
I have just received a copy of Oracle WAS V3.0.0.18.0, and am having trouble installing it on Windows NT 4.0.
I followed the installation procedure but the ADMIN and the WWW listener will not start.
The Oracle WRB Primary Service is starting fine, however when I type "owsctl start admin" in the DOS command line I get an OWS-08802 error message stating that the Oracle Web listener " ADMIN" does not exist. I've checked and the file svadmin.cfg does exist.
When I attempt to start the listeners in the Control Panel/Services I get ERROR 2140: An Internal Windows NT Error Occured.
It seems to me that owsctl.exe is looking in the wrong directory for the configuration file.
I've checked the NT Registry and ORACLE_HOME, ORAWEB_HOME and ORAWEB_SITE are set correctly.
Has anyone else had similar problems installing this version?
Any Ideas Appreciated.
