Hi Joaquin,
As far as performance on NT is concerned, my personal experience is that Oracle is much better if you have a large database with heavy transaction volume and MS Sqlserver is faster if you only have a small database.
As far as Unix is concerned since MS Sqlserver isn't available on Unix -- it's no contest.
