If comparing to FAT, there are only positives!!!!   When my shop was
running NT, there was a signifigant performance improvement over FAT
when using NTFS!!!  The space utilizaiton will also be greater,
buffering will be greater, and the ability to do all the cool stuff that
NT offers is greater.
