As far as I know, are these things independent of each other. MTS just creates additional pre-configured processes to connect to the database (via SQLNet or via the Server). You don't have to alter LISTENER.ORA to configure MTS, just the <node>_<sid>_init.ORA on the Server en restart the instance.
