ORA-06107 error after U/G to Solaris 2.6

I've posted this problem here before, but I didn't provide enough information the first time. I was running Oracle 7.1.6.2.0 ("Oracle for RDM" from Interleaf) on Solaris 2.5. When I upgraded to Solaris 2.6, I had problems with client connections to Oracle. I did a re-link of Oracle, but that didn't help. I've got everything set up for orasrv and tnslsnr; there was no change to the services file or the ports over the course of the Solaris upgrade.

Further, the listener trace file shows "transport read error" and "failed with error 12637" What's the problem, and how do I fix this? Is there a patch, or is a reinstall called for. TIA
