SQL Net client on WinNT Oracle Server

Hi everybody,
I installed Oracle server 7.1 on Windows NT 4.0 Server. I installed both the SQL Net client and server, together with the TCP interface and what is need to make up an Oracle server.

When I use this server from a Client all work fine, but I'm not able to run my application from the server itself.

My application makes use of the Borland Database Engine (BDE), so I prepare an alias in the BDE, called tryOralce, which should point to the alias of the SQL Net Client that I must create to address the server and an instance on this server. Well, as Oracle hasn't installed the "Easy Net Configuration" utility, I can't make this last alias and if I try to edit manually the files tnsnames.ora and listener.ora, to add my alias, it continues not to work. I get this error from the BDE

"Unknown network error. ORA-12154: TNS: Could not resolve service name. Alias: tryOracle."

Can anyone out there help me?

Thanx in advance.
