Hi there,

I'm a new DBA in NT4.0 and Oracle 8.03. I got an alert message saying, "can not find archive log file". Accidentally, NT server and Oracle server are restarted.... Anyway, I got the following message:

ORA-01034;ORACLE not availabe
ORA-09243; smsget; error attaching to SGA;
OSD-04101; invalid SGA; SGA not initialized
my questions are
1) How can I get my database up running?
2) What cause the database not be able to find the archivelog file?
3) Why redo log files are not used, they are there in the directory and not
lost?
4)Why I can not run server manager? got an error of ORA -12203 TNS:unable to connect to destination when login as system/manager

Thanks in advance
