Idle_time, Connect_time Parameter

Hallo,

I have limited Idle_time- & Connect_time-Parameters for my Oracle Instance 7.3.2.2.1 running on HP 200 Mhz Pentium Pro Dual Processor with NT 4.0 SP 3. These parameters are set in profiles & the profile is granted to users. Yet I couldn't figure out when these parameter hit. Where can it be further configured?
(this morning I had found session which where connected yesterday afternoon & still not removed although there should have been no action from these sessions for hours)
