We have a Oracle 7.3.3 instance, where snapshots are scheduled to be refreshed every night. The snapshots stop refreshing about once a week. The only way to get them to refresh is to restart the instance (and sometimes that doesn't help). Once they stop refreshing, you can't even do a manual refresh. It just hangs. There are about 30 snapshots on the instance, and 28 all stop refreshing at the same time. We have the snapshot_refresh_processes set to 2 and the snapshot_refresh_interval set to 3600.
There are two snapshots on this instance where the broken flag is 'Y' in the dba_jobs table. We can't seem to reset the flag with either the dbms_job.run or the dbms_job.broken procedures. But these snapshots can be refreshed manually even when the others don't work.
I suspect I have more than one problem going here, but suggestions for either would be appreciated.
Thanks.
