Oracle NT Services Start/Shut

I'm trying to find a way to automatically start/shut Oracle Services when booting up/shuting down an NT machine. I know that the OracleService<SID> can be started automatically going to the Control Panel -> Services and setting the service to automatic. I also know that you can specify in the NT registry (Winlogon:System) a STARTUP.CMD file that will startup your instance. What I don't know is how to auto-start the OracleStart<SID> service.

Also, I would like to do a "shutdown immediate" when the NT machine is powered down. Which parameter in the NT registry do I modify? or Is this "shutdown immediate" necessary? I have always assumed that Oracle does a clean shutdown when you power down your NT machine.

Pleas advise. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Received on Mon Dec 15 1997 - 00:00:00 CST
