Hi,
Sorry, I have only 2 options for you. Others fail for a variety of
reasons.
Option #1: Bring up old database. Export table, Import table into new database. Option #2: Bring up old database. Use SQL*Talk to open 2 connections (1 old, 1 new). Connect old system/mysyspwd; Connect new system/mysyspwd; Copy 1.table to 2.table;
Unfortunately, the controlfile and logfiles are the only files with which you can use the REUSE option. See Alter database command in SQL reference.
Both options require both the system tablespace and the datafile/tablespace in question to be up at the same time. Whichever you choose, check that you have the physical space and memory to pull this off first. Sorry for the pausity of options.
