I presume you configured the TNSNAMES through sql*net easy
configuration?
If you did, and it works on other clients, perhaps you should check to insure your protocols are installed properly.
Also, for more detailed info on the problem, change the trace function in the sqlnet.ora file to TRACE_LEVEL_CLIENT = ADMIN...
This way, when you get your error message, you can check the sqlnet.trc file to be certain exactly where the resolver fails.
