[Q] Lost redo log files - can I start DB?

Hi,

if a backup does not include the online redo log files is it somehow possible to start the DB after a recovery from this backup? The archive log files exist and are recovered but startup complains.

Generally speaking: Is there a chance to start the DB if all the online-redo log files are lost? How?
