Question regarding Oracle8 functionality

Howdy.

Following is a really easy question.

Under Oracle8 are you forced to 'object-orient' all your entities, or is Oracle8 fully backwards compatible?

My boss is worried if we use Oracle8 on a new project we are going to have to relearn everything. Thus there might be a justified risk. However if we can still do everything the old way (ie non-object- oriented) while learning the new way (ie object-oriented) we can avoid this risk.

Really hope you can help.

Would really appreciate if you could email me directly. Just remove the '.no.spam' from my email address below.

Thanks.
