Thanks, Billy. I cannot agree with you more on disappointment with Microsoft and its operating systems, but this time the blame needs to be placed on Dell Computer (or maybe one of its suppliers).
It turns out that it was a BIOS problem. We upgraded our OptiPlex GXpro
from BIOS A08 to A09 and the problem went away! Here's a link you can
