Database replication

All,

We are running 7.1.6.2.0 on HP-UX 10.01. We want to replicate database between two HP-UX machines that can only communicate via FTP. The master instance is in Sydney, the replicated read-only instance is to be located in Melbourne.

We have dreamt up many ways of replicating the data (full/incremental exports, snapshots, dumps of archive and online redo logs etc.) but we need some good ideas on how to really achieve this.

Please can anyone point us in a good direction or give some advice.

Many thanks in advance,
