Oracle7.3 - Need to backup temporary tablespace?

Is there any reason to back up a "temporary" tablespace (as introduced in version 7.3)?

If a disk crashes, requiring media recovery in the temporary tablespace, I think I could simply drop the tablespace and re-create a new one. Since there can be no "permanent" objects (tables) in the temporary tablespace, no data would be lost. My concern is if the DBMS would have a problem rolling back any in-flight transactions during recovery. Any ideas? Received on Tue Jun 24 1997 - 00:00:00 CDT
